This video presents pictures of U.S. Army Basic Combat Training in 1969 at Fort Campbell, KY. The pics are from the Graduation Book presented to us. The graduation pic of our company (Training Cycle from 24 March 1969 to 16 May 1969) is from the D.I. at the bottom right of the pic. After training, I was stationed at Fort Campbell with him for 9 months, at Fort Leonard Wood for 1 week in 1973, and had a personal, weekend reunion with him and our wives in 2012. The song is “Crystal Blue Persuasion” by Tommy James and The Shondells. It was released as a single in June 1969.
